A New Year, A New Executive, A New Look

As you may have noticed by now, the SAUO-UOAS website looks a little different than it used to. Along with changes to our Twitter and Facebook pages, this is our initiative to start the year off right.

We will be updating the website with more archaeology news to help keep you in the loop when it comes to the archaeological world. On a lighter note, we now have a scrolling archaeology jokes section. Take a look if you have a minute, we promise you’ll smile at one or two at least.

An “Events” page has been created and can be found by scrolling to the top of this page. There’s so much we want to have happen this year, but we just need a bit more time to firm up some of our dates. However, there is a countdown in the sidebar if you would please look to your right; International Archaeology Day will be a big event for us and we hope to see you at one of the many activities which we will have going on during the day of October 5th on the University of Ottawa campus. Especially exciting is our bake sale, so bring your change and an empty stomach.

And what would a new year be without a new executive? Please visit our “Exec” page, also accessible from its usual tab at the top of the page, to see who will be organizing your events and fundraising for the 2014 scholarship.

We are all excited to begin a new year with the uOttawa community and we hope you feel the same way.

Cue the Indiana Jones credits music!
